Tulsi is considered a sacred plant. The actual Lakshmi is measured in form. Scholars say that the place where Tulsi Fort is located is a place of pilgrimage and has the same sanctity as the banks of the Ganges. It is said that if you do darshan of Tulsi on waking up in the morning, you will get the result of darshan of all the tirthas.
Sandals should not be placed around the place where the Tulsi plant is planted. If it is kept like this, not only Tulasi will be insulted, but Goddess Lakshmi will also be insulted. The surroundings of the Tulsi plant must be kept clean.
Tulsi is very dear to Lord Vishnu. That is why Tulsi worship gives very good results. Never place a broom near basil. If you place a broom, it is as if you have insulted Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi. This may cause financial losses.
A glorious plant like Tulsi should not be mixed with thorny plants. It is very inauspicious. If a basil plant is placed in the vicinity of this thorny plant, it may cause discord between family members.
There should not even be a garbage basket in the vicinity of the Tulsi plant. Experts say that negative energy will enter the house if kept like this.
