Hyderabad: On the occasion of the end of Telangana birth decade celebrations, the ‘Telangana Martyrs Memorial Inauguration’ program will be held on Wednesday at the hands of CM KCR. On this occasion, there will be traffic disruption in Hyderabad city from 3 pm to 9 pm on Thursday (June 22). Additional Commissioner of Traffic Police G Sudhir Babu disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday. Traffic diversions have been announced to avoid traffic congestion in areas around Tank Bund. Traffic at VV Vigraham (Khairatabad) Junction, Old Saifabad PS Junction, Rabindra Bharti Junction, Mint Compound Road, Telugu Thali Junction, Necklace Rotary, Nallagutta Junction, Katta Maisamma (Lower Tankbund), Tankbund, Liberty, Karbala, Children’s Park, Ranigunj Park There are restrictions.
What are the traffic restrictions on which routes?
- Vehicles coming from Khairatabad/Panjagutta/Somajiguda intending to go towards Necklace Rotary will be diverted towards Shadan-Nirankari at VV Vigraham.
- Traffic from Nirankari/Chintalbasti towards Necklace Rotary will not be allowed to use Khairatabad flyover.
- From Iqbal Minar junction, going towards NTR Marg/Tankbund will not be allowed.
- Vehicles going towards Necklace Road and NTR Marg from Buddha Bhavan will not be allowed at Nallagutta X Road.
- Vehicles going towards NTR Marg from Statue of Liberty and Ambedkar will be diverted towards Iqbal Minar junction.
- Vehicles coming from Raniganj/Karbala/Kavadiguda are not allowed towards Tankbund. These are diverted towards the lower tankbund at Children’s Park.
- Vehicles going towards NTR Marg from BRKR Bhavan will be diverted towards Iqbal Minar junction. Vehicles coming from IMAX/Necklace Rotary and Mint Lane from Bada Ganesh Lane will be diverted towards Rajduth Lane at Bada Ganesh.
- The road will be closed towards NTR Garden, NTR Ghat, Necklace Road, Lumbini Park.
- Vehicles coming towards Upper Tankbund from Secunderabad are not allowed. They are diverted to the lower tankbund at the sailing club.
