ODI Batting Rankings: Shubman Gill, who scored 360 runs in the three-match ODI series against New Zealand, has climbed to the 6th position in the batsmen’s ODI rankings. This is the first time he has entered the top-10 in the ODI rankings.
What is special here is that he also pushed back the former captain of Team India, Virat Kohli, who is in form. Currently, Kohli has dropped to the seventh position. Rohit Sharma is also in the top 10 from India.
Shubman Gill, who performed brilliantly in the ODI series against Sri Lanka two weeks ago, has made a long jump to the 26th position in the ODI rankings.
The player scored 360 runs with a batting average of 180 and a strike rate of 128 against New Zealand and won the ‘Player of the Series’ award. With this, he rose 20 places and reached the sixth position in the ODI rankings.
Shubman has played only 21 ODIs so far. Here he scored 1254 runs at a batting average of 73.76 and a strike rate of 109.80. He also became the fastest Indian batsman to complete 1000 runs. In his short career this batsman scored 4 centuries including a double century.
Rohit Sharma was ranked 10th in the previous ODI rankings. Now joint eighth with Steve Smith. Rohit Sharma’s ranking improved due to his century in the Indoor ODI.
Pakistan’s Babar Azam (887) tops the ODI batsmen rankings. South African batsmen came second and third. Rasi van der Dussen (766) was second and Quinton de Kock (759) was third.
David Warner (747), Imam-ul-Haq (740), Shubman Gill (734), Virat Kohli (727), Steve Smith (719), Rohit Sharma (719) and Jonny Bairstow (710) are next.
