Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that we are focusing on the four pillars of infrastructure, investment, innovation and inclusion for the development of India. He addressed the second Government Chief Secretaries meeting held in Delhi. On the occasion, the Prime Minister recalled the development milestones achieved by the country since the summit held in June 2022. Prime Minister Narendra Modi mentioned India’s G20 presidency, becoming the world’s fifth largest economy, rapid registration of new start-ups, and opportunities for private companies in the space sector. Prime Minister Narendra Modi suggested that the state governments and the Center should work together to increase the speed of progress. He said that today the whole world has faith in India and sees India as a country that can bring stability to the global supply chain. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that states should focus on development, ease of doing business, ease of living and building strong infrastructure.

Inaugurating the Aspirational Block Programme, the Prime Minister highlighted the success achieved in various districts of the country under the Aspirational Districts Programme. He said that the Aspirational Block Program has been designed to expand and develop the aspirational districts program to the field level. Prime Minister Modi asked the officials present at the meeting to implement the Aspirational Block Program in the respective states.

The Prime Minister recalled the burden of over-regulation and restrictions that the country once faced. He said that the reforms were implemented to end thousands of adaptations at the central and state levels. He said that some laws have continued since independence and there is a need to end the old laws.
