The 46th meeting of the National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG) Executive Committee approved projects worth around Rs 2,700 crore for the development of sewerage infrastructure in the Ganga basin. 12 of these projects are from Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal. Recently, Namami Gange has been recognized as one of the Top 10 World Restoration Flagship Programs by the United Nations.
