Ajmer-Delhi Vande Bharat Express is the world’s first semi-high-speed passenger train, officials said. Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off the first Vande Bharat Express train in Rajasthan and the 14th in the country through video conference. Later, Prime Minister Modi said that it has become synonymous with development, modernity, self-reliance and stability. Vande Bharat Express will greatly benefit the tourism industry of Rajasthan, he said. Modi said it was fortunate that the sixth Vande Bharat Express was launched in the last two months. Prime Minister Modi has expressed regret saying that selfish and mean politics have prevented the modernization of railways in the past.
“Unfortunately, selfish and nefarious politics always overshadows the modernization of railways. “There was no large-scale corruption in the railways, no development in the railways, no transparency in the railway selection process,” PM Modi said.

This new Vande Bharat train regular service will start from April 13. This train runs between Ajmer and Delhi Cantonment with stops at Jaipur, Alwar and Gurgaon. It covers the distance between Delhi Cantonment – Ajmer in five hours and 15 minutes. Ajmer-Delhi Cantonment Vande Bharat Express High Rise Overhead Electric (OHE).. is going to be the world’s first semi-high speed passenger train.
