Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday praised American singer Falguni Shah aka Faloo who sang the song ‘Abundance in Millets’. PM Modi praised it on Twitter, saying it was a “fantastic effort”.

PM Modi Lauds Singer Falu: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has collaborated with Grammy Award-winning Indian-American singer Falguni Shah for a special song raising awareness about the benefits of millets and reducing world hunger. A song ‘Abundance in Millets’ by Faloo and her husband, singer Gaurav Shah will be released on streaming platforms on June 16.
However, it is known that the year 2023 has been declared as the ‘International Year of Millets’. India has put forward a proposal for this. It was adopted by the members of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) Governing Body, as well as the 75th Session.
Singer Falu told PTI ahead of the song’s release that “Prime Minister Modi has written a song with me and my husband Gaurav Shah”.
This song written in English and Hindi is available to everyone from today. She said that everyone will know the power of millets.

“Health and prosperity are abundant in millets. “Through this song, he has creatively combined the important causes of food security and eradication of hunger,” he wrote.
“The song Abundance in Millets is inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s proposal to the UN to declare 2023 as the International Year of Millets. “It’s an honor to work with him, to write a song to promote millets, help farmers grow it, and help end world hunger,” Falu announced on social media.
