A preliminary investigation has revealed that in the worst train accident in Odisha, Coromandel Express entered the loop line and rammed into a goods train which was stopped there instead of the main line before Bahanagar Bazar station.  The coaches of the Bangalore-Howrah Superfast Express overturned after colliding with the coaches of the Coromandel Express which were scattered on the adjacent track.
