In the 16th season of IPL, the matches are going on fiercely. The excitement of the fans is increasing match after match. But amid this excitement, the IPL governing body is fining some team captains. If it continues like this, there is a possibility of imposing a one match ban on the captains of the respective teams.
In fact, if slow overs are played in an IPL match, the team captain will get Rs. 12 lakhs will be fined. In this order, five IPL team captains have already been fined 12 lakhs each.
Among them are Gujarat Titans captain Hardik Pandya, Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Faf du Plessis, Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson, Mumbai Indians replacing Rohit Sharma with Suryakumar Yadav and Lucknow captain KL Rahul.
According to IPL rules, if any team does not complete the overs within the stipulated time, Rs.12 lakh will be paid to the captain of that team first. If the same mistake is made for the second time, the captain along with other players will also have to pay 25 percent of the match fee as a penalty.
If he commits such a crime for the third time, the captain of that team will be fined Rs.30 lakh and banned for one match. Also other players in the team will be fined 50 percent of the match fee.
If any of the five captains who have already faced a fine at this moment, if they throw two more slow overs like this, there is a possibility that they will be banned for one match.
