Fazalhaq Farooqui worked as a net bowler for Punjab Kings before making his IPL debut in 2020. Then, in the next year, i.e. in the year 2021, he became the net bowler of Chennai Super Kings. But this time he did not get a chance to make his debut in IPL.
In 2022, the doors of IPL opened for Fazalhaq Farooqui. In the IPL 2022 mega auction, Sunrisers Hyderabad bought him for Rs. Bought for 50 lakhs. Hyderabad then roped him in ahead of the IPL 2023 mini-auction.
Fazalhaq Farooqui made his IPL debut on 9 May 2022 against Royal Challengers Bangalore. After that, he replaced Sean Abbott in the Sunrisers Hyderabad team. Abbott has proved to be a very expensive man in the IPL.
