Sourav Ganguly: For the next season of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Delhi Capitals has recalled former teammate Sourav Ganguly. Ganguly is ready to work with the team next season.

Sourav Ganguly: There are reports on social media that the Delhi Capitals have not been doing well for the past few days as the captain of the Delhi team, Rishabh Pant, is currently injured. Pant was injured in a car accident last Friday. He is likely to be away from cricket for a long time after that. There are doubts about his playing in the IPL. Meanwhile, Delhi has included the former Indian captain in its team. Delhi has appointed former BCCI president Sourav Ganguly as the Cricket Director of IPL-2023.

News agency PTI said in its report that IPL key sources have confirmed this. The former captain of the Indian cricket team resigned as the BCCI president in October. Apart from Delhi Capitals, he has also been involved in cricket-related work with this franchise, ILT20 team Dubai Capitals, and South African T20 League team Pretoria Capitals.

Sourav will be back with Delhi Capitals from this year. It is said that there was a discussion between the franchisee and him. Ganguly has worked with this franchise before. He has a good understanding with Delhi ownership. Key sources revealed that if he wants to work in IPL, he will always do it with Delhi Capitals.

Ganguly mentored Delhi Capitals with the franchise in 2019. It is known that the franchise followed the instructions of head coach Ricky Ponting and Ganguly in the recent auction.
