Prime Minister Modi, PM Prachanda virtually inaugurated Uttar Pradesh’s first ‘land port’ on India-Nepal border. Many issues were discussed between the two.
Important agreements were signed between India and Nepal. Agreements were signed during Nepal Prime Minister Prachanda’s four-day visit to India. Prime Minister Modi and Prachanda signed the Ramayan circuit between India and Nepal. Modi said that the construction of a new railway line between Indo-Nepal will benefit both countries. Modi started a cargo train from Batnaha to Nepal Custom Yard. Prime Minister Modi and Nepal PM Prachanda have decided to further strengthen diplomatic relations between the two countries. Modi said that the cultural relations between India and Nepal also exist from generations.
This is the first foreign bilateral visit of Prachanda, who took charge as the Prime Minister of Nepal last December. Modi and Prachanda held wide-ranging discussions on enhancing India-Nepal cooperation in many fields including energy, connectivity and trade.
Relations between India and Nepal are centuries old
He said that this is his fourth visit to India. India-Nepal relations are centuries old. Today they discussed the measures to be taken to strengthen the relations between the two countries. He said that many important projects have also been started jointly.
Along with this, Kurta-Bijalpura Section E-Scheme of Railway was jointly inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Nepal Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’. The two Prime Ministers jointly flagged off the Indian Railways cargo train from Batnaha to Nepal Custom Yard.
