The third and deciding match of the India-Sri Lanka T20 series is underway at the Saurashtra Cricket Stadium in Rajkot. Team India won the toss and chose to bat first. In this sequence, India scored 228 runs for the loss of five wickets in 20 overs. Suryakumar Yadav played a terrific innings with a storming century. This made India’s score cross 200. Akshar Patel, who came at the end, also batted at a strike rate of 233 and remained unbeaten on 21 runs. This left Sri Lanka with a huge target of 229 runs.

First century of this year.. Third T20 century of his career..

Suryakumar registered his first T20 century this year. This is his third century overall. Surya scored a century in 45 balls. He is second only to Rohit Sharma (off 35 balls) in terms of fastest century.

Deepak Hooda caught Hasranga at long on off Dilshan Madhushanka’s ball. Earlier, captain Hardik Pandya scored 4 runs, opener Shubman Gill scored 46 runs, Rahul Tripathi scored 35 runs in 16 balls and Ishan Kishan scored one run.

Dilshan Madhushanka got 2 wickets. Kasun Rajitha, Chamika Karunaratne and Hasaranga got a wicket each.

The result of this match will determine the outcome of the series. Currently the three match series is tied at 1-1. India won the first match of this series and Sri Lanka won the second match.
