Gill, who scored 208 runs off 149 balls, was dismissed in the 50th over. He became the 5th Indian player to score a double century in ODIs.

Before him, only Rohit Sharma, Ishan Kishan, Virender Sehwag and Sachin Tendulkar could achieve this feat. Talking about the batsmen from all over the world, it is the 10th time a double century has been achieved in ODIs. Most of these 5 double centuries have been recorded by Indian batsmen.

Gill shared a half-century partnership with Hardik Pandya (28 runs), Suryakumar Yadav (31 runs) and Rohit Sharma. Gill added 74 runs for the fifth wicket with Pandya, 65 runs for the fourth wicket with Surya and 60 runs for the first wicket with Rohit.

Before Pandya, Shardul 3, Sundar 12, Surya 28, Ishan Kishan 5, Virat Kohli 8, captain Rohit Sharma got out at 34 runs.

Daryl Mitchell took 2 wickets. At the same time, Lockie Ferguson, Blair Tickner and Mitchell Santner took wickets.
