Hyderabad: HMDA does not want to back down on ‘Revanth Reddy’ notices. ORR lease issue: HMDA refuses to withdraw legal notice served to TPCC Chief Revanth Reddy

Hyderabad: HMDA has reacted to Revanth Reddy’s demand to withdraw the legal notice issued by the IAS officer. IAS officer Arvind Kumar’s comments that he is acting as a political leader have become serious. HMDA expressed anger that officials’ names were used for political purposes.

Hyderabad: Hyderabad Maha Nagar Development Corporation has taken seriously the allegations made by TPCC president Revanth Reddy on the lease of outer ring road. Expressing anger that Revanth Reddy has deliberately told lies to mislead the people, it has issued legal notices. Revanth Reddy replied to this legal notice sent to him by Arvind Kumar on May 25. TPCC president Revanth Reddy demanded that the legal notices given by IAS officer Arvind Kumar be withdrawn in the ORR lease matter. He said that the legal notice sent by Arvind Kumar is against the spirit of democracy. He alleged that these notices were sent to suppress him for questioning the irregularities of the ruling party.

He further said that all the allegations mentioned in the legal notice are false. Arvind Kumar was criticized for acting like a politician in the ORR tender affair. Revanth Reddy said that even though there is a possibility of getting high income, he is not thinking about it. He said that the ORR toll collection tender for 30 years for the IRB organization is only Rs.7380 crores. However, HMDA responded to Revanth Reddy’s comments. HMDA has decided not to withdraw the legal notices issued to Revanth Reddy. It expressed anger that the names of officials were used for political purposes. Misconceptions about the performance were propagated. HAMDA clarified that the rules were followed in the ORR TOT bid process and the ORR tenders were conducted in the most transparent manner. HMDA said that this is not the first time that TOT has been done.
