Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav revealed that CM KCR has allocated Rs.15 crores for the Ashada Utsavs this year as well. He suggested that the temple committees should apply within a week for the financial assistance provided by the government for the bonala festivals. It has been mentioned that the government will provide financial assistance to the temples which are not under the purview of Devadaya department for Bonala festivals. The minister said that every year financial assistance is provided to the temples which are not under the purview of the Devadaya Department for the maintenance of Bonala. However, the state government has decided to provide financial assistance before the Bonala festival.
Minister Talasani explained that bonas will start in Golconda on June 22, Secunderabad Mahankali bonas on July 9 and Old City bonas on July 16. He made it clear that the government will make all arrangements to organize the Ashad Bonala festival with grandeur like every year.
