Tragedy once again happened at DP chief Chandrababu’s public event. There was a stampede near the distribution of sarees and gifts in Vikas Nagar, Guntur.

Police have registered cases against the organizers in the incident of distribution of cloths for Chandranna Sankranti. Three people lost their lives in the stampede. The officials took this seriously and took action. Meanwhile.. TDP leader Chandrababu’s public program once again suffered a tragedy. A stampede took place near the distribution of sarees and gifts in Vikas Nagar, Guntur. Three women lost their lives in this incident. A woman died on the spot. Two others died while receiving treatment at the hospital. Another 16 people are being treated in the hospital. 15 counters were placed in 15 lorries to distribute gifts. After Chandrababu finished his speech and left, they started giving Sankranti gifts. But within a few minutes there was a stampede near the first counter.

The front barricade broke and the women in front fell down. As some people fell on them, they lost consciousness because they could not breathe. The injured were first taken to GGH Hospital. From there, the authorities shifted 8 people to Sri Hospital and 8 people to Praja Hospital. As Ramadevi closed her eyes on the ground, her family members wailed in tears. It is alleged that the accident happened due to improper arrangements.

CM Jagan expressed deep shock over the incident. He said that the government will support the families of the deceased. On the other hand, Medical Minister Vidada Rajani visited the victims who are being treated in the hospital. The government has announced financial assistance of Rs 2 lakh to the families of the deceased and Rs 50,000 to the injured. Chandrababu responded to this incident. The death of three people is painful. 5 lakh financial assistance was announced on behalf of TDP to the families of the deceased. Apart from that, Uyyuru Foundation 20 lakhs, TDP in-charge Kovelamudi Ravindra 2 lakhs, TDP leader Degala Prabhakar promised financial assistance at the rate of 1 lakh each.

The police say that the accident happened when the barricades were broken. District SP Arif said that they have given adequate provision and advised to take precautions. He said that due to the stampede, the police on duty were unable to control it. The other day, eight people died in Kandukur and now three people lost their lives in Guntur.
