The second cultural working group meeting will be held today in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. The meeting will be held from May 14 to May 17. Members of G20, guest countries and many international organizations will attend this meeting. This meeting will provide an opportunity to discuss and work more deeply on the issues facing the cultural sector.

After the first Cultural Working Group meeting in Madhya Pradesh was held recently, this second Cultural Working Group meeting is being held in Odisha. However, this conference mainly focused on four issues. They are 1. Protection and restoration of cultural assets, 2. Use of living heritage for a sustainable future, 3. Promotion of cultural and creative industries and economy, 4. Use of digital technologies for cultural protection and promotion.

But today, Padma Shri awardee Sudarshani Patnaik will create a sand art exhibition at Odisha’s Puri beach. Also, the theme ‘Culture unites all’ will be unveiled by Union Minister for Culture Kishan Reddy and Minister of State for Cultural and Parliamentary Affairs Mr. Arjun Ram Meghwal. The campaign ‘Culture Unite All’ by India’s G20 Working Group draws on India’s enduring belief in multilateralism based on peaceful coexistence among different cultures and communities. However, the delegates coming to this conference will be shown the heritage sites like Konark Sun Temple, UNESCO World Heritage Site, Udayagiri Caves. Also watch the special dance performances of the tribals of Odisha. Odisha CM Naviv Patnaik, Arjun Ram Meghwal and Minister of State for Home Affairs Nityanand Roy will inaugurate the Sustain exhibition which will be organized as part of G20 on May 15. The exhibition will be open to the public from May 16 to 22.
