Friend faults Anjali for Delhi car horror; DCW Chief seeks action for ‘character assassination’

Shocking statement by Anjali’s friend amid anger over the Delhi car horror. “It’s her fault as she was drunk,” says Nidhi, who was riding pillion on the same scooter as Anjali. The deceased’s friend said that she also had a fight with Anjali as she requested her not to ride in a drunken state. Nidhi’s “it’s her fault” statement didn’t go down well with Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) Chief Swati Maliwal, who termed it “character assassination” of the victim. The DCW chief also called for a probe against Nidhi since she left her “friend” to die and is making bizarre statements. The Delhi Commission for Women has also written to the MHA, seeking the formation of a high-level committee chaired by Home Minister Amit Shah. Watch this report for more.
