The common man who is already benefiting from the rise in oil prices has received another thunderous news. On Sunday, Himachal Pradesh government announced that VAT will be increased by Rs.7.40 per liter of diesel. With this, the price of diesel has reached 9.96 percent from 6.40 percent. In that state, the price of one liter of diesel has reached 83 to 86 rupees. State Taxation and Excise Department of Himachal Pradesh has issued a statement to this effect.
On the same day (Sunday) when diesel rates were increased, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh expanded his cabinet. Seven new ministers have been appointed in the cabinet. With this, an oath-taking ceremony was held today with the new ministers at the Raj Bhavan in Shimla. Veerabhadra Singh’s son Vikramaditya Singh was also sworn in today.
