Recently one such horrible incident came to light in Nandyala. The husband of a woman from Chagalamarri mandal of Nandyala district is suffering from illness. After learning about this, two persons named Battaluri Lakshminagamma and Boya Sayamma from Mutthalur of Rudravaram Mandal met the victim’s family. She said that the cause of her husband’s illness was black magic, and said that special pooja should be done to remove it. Believing their words, the victim offered them 3 lakh rupees for worship. However, her husband’s health did not deteriorate. Because of that, Mayaledi’s magic became stronger, and because of that her pujas did not work, she was convinced that there was a more powerful Swamiji than her, and if she performed the pujas, she would surely be completely cured. She called Poluru Mohammad Hussain of Chabolu next to Nandyala and introduced him. Mohammed Hussain entered the field and executed his plan. He charged 6 lakh rupees from them saying that the pujas cost a lot. As part of the pujas, he made the victim and three other members of her family perform naked pujas by scaring one another in the name of pujas. The victim objected and forced her. The woman escaped from there and lodged a complaint with the police. The police registered a case and detained the two accused and started investigation.
