Recently, a similar incident happened in Kaushambi, Uttar Pradesh. A wizard raped a minor girl who was suffering from epilepsy, believing that the demon would heal her. After the matter came to light, the relatives of the victim girl lodged a complaint with the police. The police registered a case against him under the POCSO Act as well as various sections of the IPC. Later the accused was arrested. The victim had epilepsy for three years. No matter how many attempts were made for treatment, there was no result. Meanwhile.. they approached Tantrika Baba. Taking their need as a support, he believed that there is no treatment for epilepsy with doctors. He feared that the girl was being tormented by evil spirits. The victim’s parents believed that Baba’s words were true. In this process, he called the girl alone, took her to a deserted place and raped her.
Relatives stated in the complaint that their daughter has been receiving treatment in a private hospital for three years, but there has been no improvement in her health. Relatives said that the elder daughter went home on December 21. His wife and little daughter are at home. On December 24, his distant relative Ashok Kumar alias Lali Tantrik came and told that his daughter was possessed by a demon. The victims said that he would fix the situation with his tantric education.
At the same time, their daughter was called to a deserted place for exorcism, after which the accused raped her at 7.30 pm. The victim’s father said that the girl, who got out of their clutches, came home crying and narrated the whole incident. They wanted justice in this case.
