The tension between Pakistan Cricket Board and BCCI continues. Now Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Najam Sethi gave key comments. He said that if the Asia Cup 2023 is not held in Pakistan, the board will incur a loss of around 3 million dollars. Najam Sethi said that we have suggested a hybrid model and we want to organize the Asia Cup in a hybrid model. Under this the Indian team will have to play their matches at some other ground. But, the rest of the matches have to be played at Pakistan’s ground. Also, he disclosed that we will not accept any other proposal and we will not accept any other option.
‘Indian team can play anywhere other than their own ground, but..’
Pakistan gets Asia Cup 2023 host. But BCCI says that Team India will not play in Pakistan. After that no final decision was taken on where the tournament will be held. After differences between the Pakistan Cricket Board, BCCI, PCB Chairman Najam Sethi proposed a hybrid model. Under this the Indian team has to play at any other ground. But, the remaining matches of the tournament are to be played at Pakistan’s ground. Najam Sethi made it clear that the hosting of Asia Cup 2023 is with us and we will not lose it under any circumstances.
BCCI should show written evidence..
Najam Sethi says there is no security problem in Pakistan, but the Indian government should show written evidence if their players are not allowed to play in Pakistan. Teams like Australia, England and New Zealand are coming to play in our country, so he asked the Indian team to come too. Apart from this, the Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Najam Sethi did not go to the Pakistan team to play the World Cup on Indian soil? In response to this question, Najam Sethi said that our relationship with ICC is different but all this will have a negative impact on the relationship.
