Around 46% Increase In Electronic Toll Collection Through FASTag

Through FASTag, there is an increase in toll collection in the last few years. Compared to the year 2021, there has been an increase of 46 percent in the collection in 2022. Where the collection in the year 2021 was Rs 34,778 crore, which increased to Rs 50,855 crore in the year 2022. Let us tell you, in December last year, the average daily earnings at the National Toll Plaza was 134.44 crores and on 24 December it was 144.19 crores, which was the highest collection in a single day.

Similarly, there is a boom in FASTag transactions. There was a 48% increase in the year 2021 to 2022. In 2021 the transaction was 219 crores while in 2022 it became 324 crores. So far 6.4 crore FASTags have been issued. In the year 2021, a total of 922 toll plazas were based on FASTag while in 2022 it increased to 1,181.
