India’s first Apple Store to open in Mumbai on Tuesday (18 April 2023) Apple CEO Tim Cook came to India to participate in this launch. With this visit, Team Cook will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi on Wednesday. According to information provided by the Apple company, its first two stores in India are set to open this week in Mumbai and Delhi. Apple is celebrating 25 years in India. The company is gearing up for a major expansion with the opening of its first Apple Store in the country this week, the company said in a statement. Tim Cook himself tweeted that he can’t wait to welcome customers to the new Apple store at Bandra Kurla Complex.

Apple opened its first store in Mumbai on April 18, while the second official store will open in Delhi on April 20. Apple said both stores were designed with a local influence. Company CEO Tim Cook said, India has a very beautiful culture and an amazing energy. We are excited to support our customers, invest in local communities, and work together to build a better future with innovations that serve humanity.

Apple exports from India are expected to cross five billion US dollars in the fiscal year 2022-23. This number is half of the total export of phones made in India. Along with the Prime Minister in Delhi, Tim Cook will also meet the Prime Minister and Information Technology Minister Rajiv Chandrasekhar in Delhi.
