With this, Srinivas was released on a self-surety of Rs.25 thousand. Apart from that, the judge ordered Srinivas to cooperate with the investigation. Meanwhile, the main accused in the Guntur stampede case, Uyyuru Srinivasa Rao, has been arrested by the police. He was detained at Eluru Road, Vijayawada. Uyyuru Srinivas was included as A-1 on the incident. The police have registered a case based on the complaint of the family members of those who died in the stampede. A case has been registered against him under section 304 at Nallapadu police station.

On the occasion of the new year, Chandranna Kanuka distribution program was organized in Guntur under the leadership of Srinivas. In this order, there was a stampede. Three women died in this incident. Many were injured. They were shifted to Guntur GGH. The police have registered a case against this incident and are naming Uyyuru Srinivas as the key accused in connection with the stampede incident.
