The Andhra Pradesh state government issued orders on Monday (April 17) finalizing probation for those who got jobs in village and ward secretariats through the second batch of notification. All those who got jobs through the notification issued in 2020 are currently receiving a salary of Rs.15 thousand per month. Grade 5 Panchayat Secretaries and Ward Administrative Secretaries who have completed probation are currently receiving a salary of Rs. 23,120. After including DA and HRA, their salary is Rs. 29,598 will increase. While the employees of the remaining 17 departments are currently receiving Rs.22,460.. Including DA and HRA, Rs. 28,753 will increase the salary, officials said. In urban areas some people get slightly higher salary as per HRA slab. The increased wages will be effective from May 1. This means that on June 1, the employees will get increased salary.
Meanwhile, there are 19 types of employees working in the village ward secretariats across the state. Out of these 1.34 lakh permanent government jobs have been created. Through this, under the District Selection Committee (DSC) system, notification was issued for 1,26,728 jobs under the Panchayat Raj Department and another 9,600 Energy Assistant jobs under the power department in July 2019. 1,05,497 people got jobs in the Panchayati Raj Department, out of which 1,00,724 (excluding energy assistants) who completed two years of service and passed the department test, were given probation by the end of June last year. A second notification was issued in 2020 for the posts left unfilled in the first phase and 12,837 people got jobs. The rest of the employees in the first batch will get probation as soon as they qualify as per the rules. With the finalization of probation, the salary of all of them will be doubled.
