Knowing that alcohol is harmful to health, many people do not give it up easily. Some drug addicts cause trouble to others by getting drunk. Especially at night they get drunk and get on the roads. They drive recklessly and endanger their lives as well as those of others. This is why the traffic police conducts drunk and drive tests and plays the game of drug addicts. Breathalyzer machines are used for this purpose. But what if smart phones do the same thing.? Sounds amazing to hear.. but it will materialize soon. Scientists are also taking steps in this direction.
Going into the details.. Researchers have designed an artificial intelligence algorithm that can find out how much alcohol a person has taken based on the way he speaks. The algorithm was developed by researchers from La Trobe University. The drinker listens to a 12-second audio clip and tells how much alcohol they consumed. Until now it was possible to know how much alcohol was consumed through the breathalyzer available. But now it is possible to know how much alcohol has been consumed just based on the words spoken while intoxicated.
The existing algorithm was further developed and taken in the form of a mobile application. Through this, if you open the app on your smartphone and record the words of the other person, it will tell you how much alcohol they have consumed. The research was successful using a data base of 12,360 audio clips.
