The fire incident at the Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport in Kolkata caused a stir. The accident took place at 3C Departure Terminal Building of the airport at 9.20 PM on Wednesday night. Immediately the passengers ran away in fear.

The fire incident at the Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport in Kolkata caused a stir. The accident took place at 3C Departure Terminal Building of the airport at 9.20 PM on Wednesday night. Immediately the passengers ran away in fear. Thick smoke engulfed the airport premises. The security personnel were immediately alerted after getting the information. Two fire engines reached the spot. Crews worked for about 20 minutes and extinguished the fire completely. The airport authorities suspect that the fire may have been caused by a short circuit.
But the passengers were not harmed in this accident. The officials shifted the passengers to a safe area. But many people say that the fire started near the conveyor belt where the luggage comes first. Currently, the police are investigating how the accident happened.
